Suppliers
Overview
The Suppliers section allows you to maintain a clear and organized view of all your vendors and their key details. You can quickly add new suppliers, track important information such as contact details and tax status, and update records as needed. Keeping supplier data accurate helps ensure smoother operations and better inventory management.
Viewing Suppliers
To see your suppliers, click the Inventory tab on the left-hand menu. Then, click Suppliers. You will see a table listing your suppliers, with the following information about each one:
- Name - Name of the supplier or vendor.
- City - City where the supplier is located.
- State - State or region of the supplier’s location.
- Postal - Postal or ZIP code of the supplier’s address.
- Primary Contact - Main point of contact at the supplier organization.
- Supplier Number - Unique identifier assigned to the supplier for tracking purposes.
- Last Activity - Date of the most recent interaction or transaction with the supplier.
Adding New Suppliers
To add a new supplier:
- Click + Add Supplier. This will open a pop-up window.
- Fill in the following information:
- Supplier Name - Name of the supplier.
- Supplier Number - Unique identifier assigned to the supplier for internal tracking.
- Tax ID - Official tax identification number of the supplier for legal and reporting purposes.
- Tax Exempt - Indicate whether the supplier is exempt from taxes.
- Save.
Modifying Existing Suppliers
To edit an existing supplier,
- Click on the name of the supplier, written in green.
- You will see a tab with the supplier information.
