Features
New Banner Flow – Onboarding the Legacy Merchants
The update introduced a revised banner flow that enables legacy Priority Capital merchants—previously blocked due to data inconsistencies or onboarding failures—to initiate Passport onboarding directly from the MXM portal. The solution included backend logic to support conditional entity creation, automated case handling for exception scenarios, and support for duplicate EIN resolution paths. This expanded the banner’s reach and removed onboarding blockers for approximately 6,500 merchants, improving accessibility while preserving data integrity and compliance workflows.
Enhancements
Payment Links — Customer Card Will NOT Be Vaulted
This change updates the Payment Links workflow to prevent automatic vaulting of customer cards without explicit consent. Previously, cards were saved to the Account Vault without notifying the user, posing privacy and compliance concerns. The revised implementation ensures that card data entered through Payment Links is no longer vaulted by default, aligning the behavior with customer expectations and data protection standards.
Bugs and Fixes
"Missing account information" error when canceling MXM invoice with inventory items
This update resolves an error that occurred when users attempted to cancel invoices containing inventory items after voiding a same-day payment. The issue stemmed from a mismatch in how the MX Invoice App handled inventory-based line items during cancellation, specifically when a payment was added and voided from within the invoice. The system failed to fully clear linked account references, triggering a "Missing account information" banner and preventing edits. The fix ensures proper cleanup of payment metadata for inventory items, enabling successful cancellation in these scenarios.
