Features

Enhanced Canadian Merchant Onboarding

The Canadian onboarding process for Priority Global merchants has been significantly improved. New delivery options—“Send Application to Client for Completion and Signature” and “Send Completed Application to Client for Signature”—provide greater flexibility during application setup. Merchants can now view and edit applications directly within the Merchant App, with full support for region-specific fields such as Canadian tax IDs, address formats, banking details, and phone numbers. These changes ensure a streamlined and compliant onboarding experience for Canadian merchants.

CAD Support for Payment Links

Payment Links now support Canadian dollar (CAD) transactions for Priority Global merchants. This enhancement spans Checkout API V3 and MXG.ClientWeb, allowing merchants to create and process localized payment links in CAD. Backend logic and database handling have been updated to ensure accurate currency processing and compatibility across all payment flows.

Enhancements

MX Advantage 2.4% Surcharge Accuracy

Resolved a rounding discrepancy in the MX Advantage surcharge calculation for Canadian transactions. The prior logic rounded amounts such as 0.216 to 0.22 instead of the correct value of 0.21. The updated calculation maintains compliance with Canadian fee regulations and ensures more accurate surcharge assessments for merchants processing CAD payments.

Bugs and Fixes

SSL Error on MXMerchant Client Tab

Fixed an SSL-related issue affecting the MXMerchant tab in the Client interface. The error stemmed from improper handling of SSL certificates, resulting in an EPROTO “unrecognized name” message. This release ensures secure, consistent access to the tab across all environments by properly validating SSL configurations.
